Notes & Combos

Truly the indomitable human spirit has done it again. This time with Blue-Eyes Control.

The idea is to use spell/traps with discard/send from the hand effects to effectively stop your opponent when you go first (With an additional advantage of being able to discard The White Stone of Ancients) as well as the deck being able to go second relatively well too. It's also not bad at all to normal summon a level 1 tuner and pair it with an Alternative Dragon (which is why I decided to play 2 of them instead of 3, as well as 3 Melody) to have Spirit Dragon + the usual spell/trap setup. To highlight some of the thought process behind this deck:

  • Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell

The General idea with this card is that, if you have it in hand going first, you can almost always grab a spell for free with the skill, which in certain matchups will help you a lot. I find it particularly strong against Invoked Shaddoll which you'll be able to identify thanks to their skill popping up, as well as the trap cards being sent to the grave. Negate Invocation and it's probably GG.

  • Only one Droplet, one Dinomischus, one Consonance

Yeah this is a budget issue... You'd probably want to play more copies of these cards but I don't have anymore. Ideally x2 Dinomischus and you remove a Karma Cut (Karma cut has a great second effect but Dinomischus is more versatile as to what you can banish, since it targets a face-up card, rather than a face-up monster) and 2/3 droplet removing Divine Wrath and 1 Melody could be a good idea if you have them.

The rest of the deck is pretty straightforward but any questions are welcome, as well as any suggestions related to deckbuilding/strategy going forward.

Thank you for your time!
