Notes & Combos
Really love the way the new Bujin cards like Torifune, Mahitotsu, Ahashima (the new Link) and Bujincandescence enable new play styles with Bujins.
The main combo for both T1/T2 always consists of getting out Mahitotsu first through discard effect, bait, get turtle into GY if Veiler wasn't used yet, so all is set up for getting out Torifune through turtle protection. If you have more relevant Bujingis in hand that you need in GY you can link into Ahashima, which gives you an additional MST after the Hiroku/Amaterasu combo during your opponent's turn.
Bujincandescence can also be useful to get more Bujingis in GY T1 while negating any open card and can also be used as discard fodder for Mahitotsu when it's not needed. Also useful to bait disruptions and if not destroyed serves as a neat protection against Live Twins during your Main Phase play.
I must admit having joined the ladder late helped a lot as there were fewer players with Tenyis or Live Twins, nevertheless I had got some respectable opponents on my climb:
Replays
KOG Rank-Up Match against Timelords (Bujincandescence was made exactly for match-ups like this!)
Rokkets (fun game of getting the upper hand in terms of resources)
Yubel HEROs (mostly trying to avoid getting OTKd with Fox and getting both Susanowo and Amaterasu out as most likely either one of them will be swallowed up by Superpoly)
Blue-Eyes (turned out to be a tougher match-up than I originally thought, make sure to never leave any defense position monsters on the field as neither Crane or Sinyou will save you from Chaos Max)
Gandora Orcust (Get Abyss 1st turn and the rest is history :)
Speedroids (bluff them into negating Fox and they won't be able to negate Sinyou anymore)
Resonators (honestly no chance when they already have their field set up T1, turtles aint no help against their non-targetting field wipe)
Live Twins (tried a different build with Utopia here before while still playing on Platinum, which was also nice, but not as consistent as my current build)
Phantom Knights (Turtles for the win :)
Dark Magicians (great showcase of the Paladynamo + Crane combo)
Immortal Phoenix (nice use of Ahashima as an in-archetype MST)
Witchcrafter (Haine can't deal with the turtle :)
Destiny HEROs (easy match-up thanks to Turtle combo, their destruction is targetted)
