Notes & Combos
Late in the month as usual, but gotta do what I gotta do to dodge as many people that'd be playing Veiler as possible. I've tried to fine-tune the list a little more since last time, and this version is likely the most optimised I can get it to be consistency-wise.
For the cuts, I cut Sauravis because it wasn't really helping out much; didn't save me from many Veilers, and even for general use it was unreliable due to omniprescent non-targeting interruption. The other is far more debatable, and that's the 2nd Hootcake, since without it, some Small World bridges become very awkward. Still, for the standard "Starter + 2-3 non-engine + 1 useless shufflable brick" gameplay that most hands present, this version felt the best for it.
You may also notice my Extra Deck looks a lot more standard this time. Basically, the Kagari thing never worked out, and the only gamestate I had where it might have was against another Striker deck that had too many LP for it to work anyway. Also, Lyrilusc is usually an auto-lose matchup even with Utopic Ray Lancer, and since it wasn't doing much there without Overlay Control, nor was it coming up against any other matchups, I cut it too.
On the other hand, I noticed a gamestate I can set up that lets me use both Phoenix and Unicorn before Hootcake, as well as a double Tiara line, both without Ticket, so after a few games where I finally did miss the second Tiara, I slotted both of them back in. Special mention goes to Underworld Goddess, who we can technically make in the same gamestate as Phoenix + Unicorn, but doesn't really have any targets in this metagame to be worth running.
Legend 5 was especially annoying this time, as I had 3 seperate 5+ win streaks before reaching it, one of them being an 8-streak I'll probably upload seperately, then got stuck there for way longer than I should have. Honestly, this is standard fare at this point, though. The 5-streaks duels aren't very high quality, but w/e. Gotta love 3 duels in a row against HERO, because of course.
Also, I started messing with Duelist Pass customisation near the end of the climb, funny that those changes show up in replays too.
